Kingston, Iowa | We hire the corn spraying done. There is one individual in this operation that will run the sprayer and he is busy on the corn planter. So hiring the corn spraying done is a cheaper option for us. I have a old coupe that I spray the beans with when all of the planting/sidedressing rush is done. Coupe was cheap and I paid for it in one years worth of custom app fees for the beans. That year happened to be two Rup passes and a spider mite pass. We also hire trucks in the fall for the same reasons. You get the truck and the man to put it down the road. | |
