I posted a question about my truck being sluggish on acceleration especially after it warms up. Many of you suggested a plugged catalytic converter. I removed the exhaust system ahead of the muffler up to the exhaust manifolds. When looking in the end of the tailpipe, the catalytic converter was loose in the housing which was causing the rattling sound that I was hearing. When the exhaust pressure was high, it pushed the catalytic converter up against the outlet cutting off more of the air flow. It's all fixed now. And the truck runs much better. Thank you for all of the great ideas and help. I really appreciate this site.

Curious if you put the cats back on or “deleted”?

In my youth I had a 98 GMC that I cut the cats off. Check engine light came on but never caused any problems. Put the back on before I traded it.
