When I got married in 1984 my in-laws in SW Minnesota were still 38". I honestly thought the world had passed them by. In about 1994 they had to switch because they hired the combining done at that time and there was nobody left that had a 38" head. They switched to 30's and have never regretted it. I've always been 30", so I have nothing to compare it to.
