Also check their profile to see where they're from and how long they've been a Facebook user. That can give you an idea on how legit they actually are.
Few years back I had someone inquire about a $700 flatbed wagon I had on marketplace. He was 4 states away from me. Didn't even bother to respond to his inquiry.
