| Not unusual. I was going to buy a tractor. From a dealership. I called Saturday am. Talked to salesman, said I planned Monday early afternoon. It was only +90 miles. Wife drives so I can check on last options on way. 3 dealerships we just drive thru.
So I call about hour before we leave. “He is out in yard, can we take a message”. I leave name, tractor I want, time I should be there. And cell number again. 30 miles first place on way, just drive thru, no stop. Call again. “He is in shop, message?” Same message, that I am on the way.
2nd dealership I do go in, ask on tractor, instant “no thanks” from me.
I called Saturday am 3rd time. “He has gotten your messages, he had to go home but will be back before you get here”
I get there, see tractor. Walk around, like what I see, call to get saleman out, meet him. Reception flaky. I start, drive, realize I will not be able to offer much less then listed. Finally call back. “I sold it 9:30 this morning. BUT I have similar tractor with only 5000 more hours, and 40 hp less. It’s even slightly cheaper”. I suggested he come out, be man enough to walk 80’ to explain face to face.
I still do not know what he looks like.
