Subject: Rant about facebook seller Pretty Prairie Ks.

NE Kansas
Had the most enjoyable experience driving 3 1/2 hours to look at a grain cart advertised at Pretty Prairie Ks. Had messaged him a week ago asking about his grain cart he had advertised for 10 weeks. Told him I couldn't come last week to look at it but would be there this week. Messaged him sunday afternoon and said I would come Monday to look at it if it worked for him. Yes that was fine he would not be there but his dad would. Drove down there to find out from his dad that the neighbors came that morning and took the grain cart to use. Odd but OK. Got directions and drove to the neighbors to find him in a combine in the yard on the phone with the hired man standing on the ground. Told the hired man that I came to look at the grain cart. He points at the man in the combine and says its sold. Told him what I thought of that and called the owner to ask if the cart was still for sale. Yes. Looked at cart, decided I would take it. Called the owner said I would take it, he agreed and we had a deal. Pulled out of the yard and the owner called saying he was sorry. Was not man enough to even say he was selling it to the neighbor, just kept saying he was in a pickle and sorry.

Now for the whole story. I was the only one to answer the ad. The neighbor was to combine the owners wheat so he had leverage over him. It was the dad who called the neighbor and told him I was coming. The neighbor had full intentions of buying the cart but wanted to use it for free this harvest. Thats why he got it after he found out someone was coming, He never spoke fur it until the dad called him again and told him we were coming to his place to look at it. Thats why he was on the phone when I got there. He never told the owner that he would take it, just the dad and only after he knew we were coming. He planning on screwing tha owner as much as he could before he bought it. Evidently the owner was fine with that as he wouldn't honor his word as to agreeing to sell it to me. Are there no honost people with integrity anymore?

By the was this man now manages the Fort Hays State University farm so he can teach all of the college kids about honoring your word and having integrity when doing business.
