At least OFFER to send/wire the money. If they say it's not necessary then they will keep their word.
The OP got abused because they weren't honest by any means.
But, AGAIN, "I'm coming Monday" doesn't cut it in today's world.
If something is a buy and you want it you pounce on it NOW and tie it up.
It has never failed once for me.
