As others have said, the long hose can be a pain. BUT, if you put in more hookups you won't need as long of a hose. We had a NuTone (IIRC) and I thought it was pretty good as far as suction goes. We also had the cord for the power head attached to the outside of the hose which was kind of a pain so look for a system that has the power wires built into the hose. We finally ended up getting a kenmore cannister vac and she was pretty happy with it but that was before the cordless was a thing. Now have a newer kenmore and a cordless Dyson that gets used most of the time. Now that the kids are gone don't have to vac as much unless the grands come.
