I'll take you at your word but I don't know of any Deere dealer that is only mail order. Yeah they all stock fewer parts than they used to but they can have them the next morning. What all of you AC fans fail to realize or want to admit is that there are massive areas of this country where there isn't an AGCO dealer for 50 or 60 miles. Sometimes more. Yeah I know someone is going to come back and say there closest Deere of Case dealer is 100 miles. AGCO failed to support many smaller dealers in the cornbelt and they just died on the vine. Some of these dealers were already in a weak state due to farm economy and what was perceived as uncertainity after Allis disapeared in 1985. Even if they have good products people are not going to buy them if there isn't a dealer close by. Dealer network and support is what has kept the red and green paint flowing for the last 70 years. Allis, Massey, and White just never seemed to be able to figure that out.
