Iowa | I need gps for row clutches but the steering side of it is a connivence so when I’m told probably in the 13,000 neighborhood to trade with ag leaders trade in program I’m out. I see enough value to invest in a system but no different than a tractor or combine I’m usually shopping the used market to be able to justify the purchase. So if there is a 10 year shelf life on this kind of stuff that’s somewhat frustrating and disheartening. Maybe the newer stuff being made in house for ag leader will be better long term for that but we’re a few years out from that being in the used market. A steer command could fall into the same category as the Paradyme and Geosteer so hate to dump 6-7 thousand in a RTK setup there either. I also don’t have any desire to go to a newer monitor as my dad has basically just learned the Integra enough to be comfortable. Not sure why they can’t make the steering controllers compatible across all of the monitors. I have always been very happy with my ag leader equipment and turned off a little by the Deere stuff but after this and adding a Greenstar system recently I am starting to lean the other way a little | |
