Most likely the paradymes will continue working just fine. Leap second adjustment was made standard in IS-GPS-200H which was published in 2014.
So any receiver with software meeting that standard will work when a leap second is inserted. The IS defines the updating of GPS time to UTC time offer by leap second count.
Also GPS time does not contain leap seconds. So calculation of position from GPS legacy L1 CA does not care when leap seconds are added as the messages from the satellite are not dependent on that.
Since 2014 multiple leap seconds have been added so unless Novariant was really bad at not following the IS then it should all be fine.
