Subject: Chopping corn head?

south carolina
Thinking of buying a chopping head. Went to look a a neighbor’s today and he told me he took his choppers off because in corn above 20% moisture he was having problems with something stopping up his rotator screen on the radiator. Didn’t do it as bad in dry corn. John Deere combine and drago head. Is this a common problem? Someone told him it was some type of starch coming from greener stalks.
