central michigan | So, I bought an NH3 bar with Hiniker controls on it, but it didn't come with the console. My plan is to put together a system that will let me variable rate side dress. The tractor that I will be using doesn't have anything on it as far as a GPS system so I am starting with a clean slate.
My thought is to pick up a used Ag Leader Integra, which I have lots of experience with in sprayers but none with NH3, and control the Hiniker valve with an Ag Leader liquid module. I don't need section control right now as I am going to be following the planter and fields are relatively square. Does this plan make sense? Can a liquid module even control a Hiniker valve? Am I missing anything? Obviously there will be some cabling and other odds and ends.
If anyone has a better or cheaper way I am open to all ideas right now. I don't have to have it put together until early June so I have plenty of time to plan and bargain shop. | |
