ECIL | I am wanting to make some custom gates for my barn out of square tubing. My cattle operation is a hobby/learning deal as of right. 4 cows and they are pretty tame. But I want to make these gates to last my lifetime . I need some to be adjustable for different spans. So Im going to use square tubing. Part of the gate will be made with larger square tubing and the other part smaller to make up the other side of gate so its adjustable for different lengths. What size 1", 1.5", 2"? And how thick should wall of my tubing be? 16 guage 1/8", 3/16"???
