A question in my head just now popped up. What were the differences back then between IH and Deere workers and departments on all levels? Was Deere Union Labor also? This question and those below are asking about primarily in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Did either company have a better reputation for treating their employees or was there always some sort of unhealthy division between upper and lower?
What were the engineering departments like and how did they compare? Did both companies go about research and development the same way back then.
I’m only asking questions to learn and not to criticize. I run several colors of equipment. | |
