SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | I've never done spring NH3 application before. With current soil moisture conditions the first day it's dry enough to apply NH3 will be the first day I would like to start planting.in fact it will probably be dry enough to plant well before will be dry enough to gas well. Other forms of N are going to cost me approximately $20 an acre more. I figure roughly a $6 a day penalty for later than optimal planting.
I can't apply the NH3 at an angle and I can't split the NH3 between the Rose due to topography considerations.
Anhydrous applicator followed by a phoenix harrow will be the only tillage this ground gets.
