. | The thread below on dumps had be wondering what treasures have been turned up. Wish I could say I've found something valuable but not really. When the road was redone in front of the farm a couple years ago I was expecting to find SOMETHING! The road used to end right at the farmstead. Well I turned up a row of interesting patterned bricks. I had some from the floor of a old porch torn off a building and old photos show kind of a path, I'm guessing it was the bricks. There was an old dumping spot right across the road, probably from the 1950's. Old shoes, cans & bottles. They end up excavating and relandscaping for road and the darn junk ends up getting spread in a load in the pasture. Can now spend the next 20 years recollectng the old junk. Only other item that came up were a couple license plates, both from the 1960's. | |
