Subject: drill vs row

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
Did my plot yesterday. Every year I do a Drill vs 30 inch row side by side. Last year it was 5 bu better with the drill ,this year same thing about 5 bu. 62 BPA vs 57 BPA. Average over 10 plus years is now up to 3.5 bu advantage to narrow rows.
Seems the dry years have a bigger advantage with drills.

I like the way the drill beans flow through the head vs 30 inch rows. You can set the reel higher in drills and get less shatter in my opinion.
The 30s seem to wad up more especially when I was in the latter varieties that still had leaves and more trash on them.
