| So I went to a new rheumatologist this week and she would like me to get off my pain medicine. I understand that. So she wants me to try Celebrex. I told her it would depend on how expensive it was. Went to check today and it was going to cost me $350 something a month. I told them no. So then the pharmacist said that she will run it without insurance and it was only $74.50. If I would have my $5000 deductible met, it would be much cheaper. But seeing this is hopefully a non surgery year, I don't use up my deductible. The pharmacist said it isn't them that gets the extra money, BC/BS does. That just seems so wrong. I will have to be test the medicine to see if I react to it as it is in the same drug family as Naproxen that I am allergic to. Do any of you have to be on expensive medications and did you check what it would cost without insurance? | |
