So I went to a new rheumatologist this week and she would like me to get off my pain medicine. I understand that. So she wants me to try Celebrex. I told her it would depend on how expensive it was. Went to check today and it was going to cost me $350 something a month. I told them no. So then the pharmacist said that she will run it without insurance and it was only $74.50. If I would have my $5000 deductible met, it would be much cheaper. But seeing this is hopefully a non surgery year, I don't use up my deductible. The pharmacist said it isn't them that gets the extra money, BC/BS does. That just seems so wrong. I will have to be test the medicine to see if I react to it as it is in the same drug family as Naproxen that I am allergic to. Do any of you have to be on expensive medications and did you check what it would cost without insurance?

Have you checked Mexico prices yet. Maybe you can stock up when Dave gets his dental work done.
