McLeod County, MN | Just got done watching US FARM REPORT.
They said FSA released 2013, final planted acres at 92.1 million acres (w/3.6 million pp) vs what the last USDA reports said Jan 10th, at 95.4 million acres.
Soybeans from FSA were 75.3 million acres(1.7 mil pp) v USDA at 76.5
Can someone smarter than me please explain the discrepancies, and why the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing?? It is my understanding that FSA goes off actual farmer data provided to them and USDA goes off of their "methodology." What am I missing??
