68340 | House built in 1999, all copper pipe.
My wifes shower has been to hot ever since I increased the water pressure in the house. ( I use the mud room shower, and never noticed any difference in my temp.)
We did drain the hot water heater and installed a water filter for the incoming well water. (We have our own well)
Could we have dislodged some particales that are now blocking an orifice in the single handle shower controller ?
The water is not to hot at the sink. Meaning it meters the water the same now as before increasing the pressure. Single handle units on the sink.
Can I turn off the water and take the shower controller apart ? Turn on the water for 5 seconds in the basement and try and flush the controller ?
Should I just call the plumber ? Hate to if it is a simple fix, but hate to screw up the shower controller. You would have to open the dry wall in back of the shower to put in a new
shower conroller. Nope, don't want to go down that path if possible.
Suggestions please. |
