Former President has proposed to enact a 60% trade tariff on all goods imported from China if elected. The obvious market implication for soybeans is a retaliatory tariff on soybeans and effective no sales of beans to China. But what would happen to the rest of our economy when there is an effective price hike of 60% passed on to any consumer of a product made in China.
