Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Sounds like you've thought through this very well. My Dad was very concerned about your point #1. He said he didn't want his children to be mad at each other due to inheritance after his death. He also wanted the heirs who wanted to farm be able to farm his land. He did not want any of his children selling out for big money when others wanted to farm it.
These are both admirable goals but extremely difficult to attain. I was at an inheritance meeting the other day and the lawyer said it is almost impossible to come up with a plan that all will consider fair and equitable.
I'm looking into some of these things right now. My situation is much easier, not all that much land and no children. |
