Then how do you explain the fire in Clear lake CA that burned this year as well as three years ago. In Paradise where it is burning now there are people there that lost their homes this year as well in 2008.

As we have seen recently You can have all the fire brakes in the world, but when you have 50 - 100 mph winds picking up embers and starting a new fire 3-4 miles down wind from the existing fire you get these large leapfrogging fires that are almost impossible to contain. These are not smoldering little fires these are wind driven fires that have in the past crossed 8-10 lanes of asphalt and concrete, then crossed asphalt parking lots and restarted and continued on burning.
