We run prescribed burns here to mimic the historical burn pattern from over 100 years ago. Everyone seems to forget that fires happened on a regular pattern that was 3, 5, 7, or even up to 21 years but it all burned. Smoky bear has done more damage to the ecosystem than any one person could imagine.
