| Our family went on a car-camping trip right across Canada in 1980. So after setting up tent in a campground in Saskatchewan, we decided to try a drive-in movie, a first for our family.
Long line of cars on the road getting in, when we got there were told too late, its full. Later on in the year, saw the movie in our local community hall. Title was "Smokey and the Bandit 2".
Always thought the concept of a drive - in movie was much above that of a novelty. Hardly practical at all in Canada. In the summer the daylight hours stretched too long, and the winters were obviously too cold. | |
