| There was a story on the 6:00 news this evening out of Wichita that the Starlite Drive In was closing for good. The people of Wichita are trying everything to keep it open. Even the city of Wichita does not want it to close. It is the last drive-in theater in Wichita to close. Probably the last one in the state of Kansas for all I know. I don’t know how many there were in Wichita at one time. I’m guessing several. I never went to one in Wichita. I didn’t have to. There were at least five with in 25 miles of my place. I went to all of them at least once I know. Even took a date to most of them. Dare I say it, watching the movie was always optional when you had a date with you. Now I was wondering is there anyone on here that is over 50 that has never seen a movie at a drive-in and is there anyone under 30 that has been to a drive-in movie? | |
