Guys around here did the opposite with cattle.
High cost of upkeep, seed, fertilizer, multiple sprays for aphids, weeds,etc.
Lots of acres to corn silage for feed, cost per ton was less.
Pray for a week of sunshine and then make dry hay!! lol
