West Texas | Expansion anchors put a side load on the concrete. You probably need 4" or more from the edge of the concrete to the center of the bolt to not cause the concrete to crack and come loose. To do it correctly you need a torque wrench to tighten the expansion bolts down correctly. Epoxy anchors are very good just be aware the epoxy starts loosing strength over 110 degrees. Hilti, Dewalt, and Simpson make good anchors that are code tested and approved.
Hilti has two bolts that I like which are Hilti TZ bolts for expansion anchors and Hilti HUS EZ for something that I might want to later remove both now come in stainless. Each have their pros and cons that you need to evaluate. Also bolt spacing on expansion bolts is critical.
