Panhandle of Ne. | Paid off a lot of long term notes, updated what needed updated. Knew $7 + corn was not sustainable but thought that 4.50 probably was. As one poster said, we could figure a nice profit before we planted. First time ever could lose a crop and still make money. Well, since then, mother nature has had her way with us. So partial crops, insurance not covering COP, farmers planting turn row to turn row helping to cause over production and lowering board price, has taken away any extra there might of been. Once in a career deal to make decent money.
