| Something hit me like a brick today. All we read about is how good this crop is around the country and everybody wants to talk about record yields 180 plus. Then I remembered about how bad the conditions were suppose to have been last year and the big crop we ended up having. I have been around long enough 40 plus crop years and if this crop is coming along as fast as everybody says I get the feeling in the end we might be surprised with our over all yield. I personally cant remember a really great to record sized crop yield when maturity was pushed at a fast pace, good yes and some times poor usually because of drought but the long cool August and Sept fill years are the years when we are happy and surprised with the size of our crop. Just something to give us some hope but just a 170 or a little less is a big deal this year and it isnt even July 4th. Oh and by the way they had 10 inches of rain just north of us last night | |
