SWSD | I don't know about fair, but can't any country or trading partner set rules by which they will play with you? That seems fair doesn't it? You can buy or sell goods as you wish, with whom you wish right? Seems like a fundamental freedom.
If the US doesn't like China pricing (a tariff is just part of the bid - call it what you want), sell your beans somewhere else, and conversely if China can't get the beans they want with the stipulations they provide, they can lower the tariff/increase their bids to get what they want.
I think basic free market rules still apply regardless of the games our so-called leaders play to get a camera in their face for a daily ego fix. | |
