I’d say that the modern hybrids are indeed better at hanging on to scavenge every drop of moisture there is to be had- but when the moisture really truly is all gone then the game is over. That’s how you get 30 bpa or disked under corn, not when you never truly run out and “OMG I can’t believe it made 230!”
