How do you folks get internet, without a landline? Cell data seems very expensive to pay for enough data to get by per month, and not terribly fast out in the boonies?

I have a router from my cell provider for my internet, I'm about 8 miles from town, but only 3 miles from I-65 and there are cell towers close to me. It runs $55/month.
