Chs has trucks in Minnesota powered by natural Gas.

What's the difference between natural and lp? Chs energy guy calls lp liquid natural gas

liquefied propane gas (LPG) and Liquefied natural gas(LNG) are very different critters. LPG can be stored in a cheap steel tank at around 200 psi at normal temperatures.
LNG must be cooled to near 200 below 0 F and compressed to near 4000 psi to make it turn to a liquid. It must then be stored in an insulated tank at near 4000 psi. It must be used immediately after filling because as the tank absorbs heat from it's surroundings, the gas either needs to be burned in an engine or vented to the air to keep tank pressure below where it will explode from excess pressure. LNG is only useful on a route vehicle where you fill fuel then immediately put it to work using up the fuel. Only works on things like a truck or bus that runs a fixed route that consumes the entire liquid contents of the tank.. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is natural gas not cooled, but compressed to near 4000 psi. The disadvantage to CNG is that it contains only a fraction of the energy in LNG, but can be filled and used slowly over time. It is cheap fuel, but has limited range.
