Subject: NG powered semi trucks

sw ontario
Passed a 18 wheeler on 401 Tuesday and it had a fairly large "Powered by Natural Gas" sticker on it...Wish I had seen it sooner too check ng tanks and get a pic...A fairly new Freightliner Columbia....Used to be quite a few cars/trucks around with propane or NG but don't see that much anymore....My old friend Larry H. had a late '80's Lincoln with NG tank in trunk ,would go around 200 miles on fill up ,local JD dealer had most of sales pkp. trucks on NG with home overnight fill stations...cheap driving and really extended motor life....With gas and diesel here at over $5 gal. it would make sense too use ng. at comparable $1 gal...Mfg. used too offer it as an factory option ,any idea why its not popular?
