I agree with Carlson, your customers are trying to tell you something and it falls on deaf ears.  I personally think it has to do with fat content and exercise.  I have also ate the pit smelling hog, so it must exist, heard many others make the comment also.

I was talking to a guy my dads age who said he can't eat pork chops anymore, they just don't cook right, he was thinking of fencing off part of his grove to raise a few hogs, I've often had the same thought.  For the record, this guy can cook all sorts of meats that will make you eat until you are bloated or foundered, which ever comes first.

When we still raised hogs we had a confinement and an open front cement lot, dad always butchered out of the open front?????
