Jim don't know if you remember my posts from years back, we were killing the biggest fall calves "prob four weights" every time we moved the wire for a few days before we got a system in place. System we use now is we kick off straw one hour before we move wire, haven't bloated the over eaters since, this was cattle and turnips on a large scale several hundred acres of pivots in turnips. if you ever run into problems try this method.
