how are beans doing in this heat where it is dry

It's the bean belt now it seems. I would guess most farms are only 40-50% wheat anymore, where as 10-15 years ago most farms were 70-80% wheat and the remainder was flowers. Most guys got tired of all the vomitoxin discounts and 4-5 dollar cash wheat and tired of fighting blackbirds in flowers so they scaled back on wheat and flowers and went full hog beans. It's been working great we can grow good beans but we need water, which we didn't have this year. There IS spotty areas nearby with decent looking beans that caught a shower here or there but for the most part in my area it looks like it's going to be a sad bean harvest. Hope I'm wrong.
