North Central Illinois
For Christ's sake! I didn't say I was speaking for everyone! He asked how the heat was affecting everyone's beans. It would sort of lead someone that isn't in the know to believe everyone was suffering through some serious heat. That is not the case. There are most certainly some who are but short days are going to be as much of an enemy to a lot of beans as lack of moisture. When the days start getting shorter beans will kind of start to shut down no matter when they were planted or what they have for moisture. I'm not claiming a perfect finish here by any means by I think in this particular area shorter days and lack of heat will be our biggest enemy from here on out. For those who need rain and think it would benefit their crop I certainly wish them well but question how many acres that really amounts to at this stage of the game.
