We had the Pioneer 801 fiasco last year ... lost of acres, but was generally tied to 1 line of genetics, most dryland 'looked similar' to your pics, but fared much better.
The real trick is to determine how large an area is affected, and how widespread the poor crop will be in these areas. Is this the best or worst field near Manson Iowa, or are they all like this?
