NE SD | Pardon the crude drawing but here is a line kind of representing the cutoff. From the week of the 4th of July on, the area north of the line received several inches of rain (8-12") spread out nicely into August. They had record yields. I mean fields with 130 APH yielding well into the 200s. We went from mid-late June with little to nothing until August 10th when we had 2.5" of rain and finished out the month with almost 5" of rain. Corn finished 10 by below average and beans a couple over.
Doing some walking the past week, we have some really good potential on a good portion of our corn, but it will take another rain in the next two weeks to do it. Maybe we can pull off another August like last year. Beans are in the air....how much will all the dicamba damage cost?
