On the usda grains balance sheets, previous year surplus is added to the next year's production and imports to create a total supply. Total use is subtracted to get the new projected surplus.
I would assume most commercials would be getting rid of old crop that's a year old through blending with new crop.
Maybe this is why the market has gone soft.
