SW Iowa | My question is what happens to the corn ending stocks surpluses. By definition a surplus is "An unsold quantity of a good resulting from a lack of equilibrium in a market." So, those bushels must still exist by definition.
~The end of '16 we had 2.4 billion bushels surplus, What has happened to that surplus? Did it get dumped in the ocean to feed the fish, or is it sloshing around in the mix of what we have to use up before the '17 crop comes in. And don't forget in '15, we had 1.74 billion surplus to use up in '16,, somehow,, or feed the fish with it,, but, if they are surplus bushels, how are they ever used up? Could we really be seeing the surplus of ('15) 1.74 billion bu and the surplus of ('16) 2.4 billion bushels totaling 4.14 billion bushels hanging over the heads of anything trying to use up the '16 crop this year? | |
