Dads Ma and Pa were Volga Germans that came to this country in 1913 as beet labor. Quite a few of those folks were sponsored into this country to work in the Thumb beet fields to block and thin in the spring, weed through the summer and top and lift in the fall. Any other Volga Germans out there in AT land?
One of my great grandmothers was of Volga German descent. They settled and farmed in central North Dakota.
