My wife went on her own and bought a Whirlpool top load at least 7 years ago. Has worked flawlessly. Got it from Lowes. I told her to buy what she wanted, regardless of price. My wife is a tightwad. Don't remember the price, but wasn't a lot. She loves it. I'm happy, have clean clothes.
