I figured it should do a few loads of laundry and we might be more able to afford a better one when the time came. Even if it quits this week since I bragged about it we still have gotten clothes washed for $10 per year.
Lots of times people will buy a washer and dryer PAIR when one quits, and the other has nothing wrong. Make friends with someone who does the delivery and installations of appliances. With your tinkering skills you can probably fix some simple stuff and make working machines out of the "scrap"
