Depends on the situation. Hard to beat pre-made ham sandwiches for a crew of people on the go. For a sit down hot meal as Debra mentioned any casserole in a disposable tin foil pan that can be froze and used later or popped into the oven. Size it according to number of mouths. Chocolate chip cookies or brownies can be a comforting dessert.
