Herd ranges from young to old. It seems complicated to me as well. I prefer to buy him right out but he is afraid of having to pay too much tax. I totally agree that is going to be complicated. Thats why I posted on here, thought maybe someone would have a good idea. I dont want to pass it up because finding pasture around here is tough and Id hope that after renting 5 years I could possibly buy the farm from him.
I would suggest that the land deal be written into something between the two of you. Don't need to set a price just a way of determining a fair price that you BOTH agree on. |
